Mei Tei Baby Carrier?
I am a hands down RingSling "pusher". I think every mother should, if they got their child born. I even started, I love her so much. They are warm and cozy and sooo convinent while in the supermarket. The extra long tail is fab as a burp cloth or a face to use wipe. Now my son is now one and Oh, Boy, he is a wiggly worm. The sling is just not as convienent as it once was. I think, a Mei Tei. I do not have Problem of investment in good quality (washable!) A, if it really works for us. Anyone currently using? Any tips and for the purchase? Is there a Difference between expensive and cheap which one? What should I for the better? Thanks!
I can not say enough good things about my Babyhawk! It is convenient for both of us, and I love that their weight is distributed on both shoulders, and that the shoulder straps are padded. I always get compliments and it is so much nicer than any of the carriers you see in the markets. I had planned with a pocket on the front, so I have never been to a diaper bag either carry. When I use my Ring sling, I miss that bag! I am still using the RS for quick errands, but the MT is so much better for long journeys (in particular) shopping. It is more production its entry and exit, but it is not as complicated as it looks and it's easy when you get the hang of it too. I dipped the tails in a puddle before, but it machine washes / dries really well, so it's not too bad. Insofar as they Wiggli definitely feels safe in the MT. I felt like it a nose dive could be off the hook a few times to take, especially since she wants to crawl around on the floor now, I do not know if there is a difference in cheap vs. expensive, with the possible exception the fabric choices and with padded shoulders (which I think is a must). I know that I have a mei tai from a free on-line pattern, and it does not even begin to to compare my Babyhawk!
